In short

  • 150–400 grafts per brow, transplanted from the back of the scalp.
  • London cost: £3,500–£6,500 for both brows.
  • Grows permanently — needs trimming every 2–3 weeks.
  • Result visible at 6 months, full at 12.

Eyebrow transplants have grown rapidly in London — driven partly by women who over-plucked in the 1990s–2000s, partly by post-chemotherapy patients, and partly by anyone with scarring from injury. The technique is straightforward; the artistry is everything.

The London cost band

  • Fill sparse areas: 150–200 grafts per brow, £2,500–£3,500.
  • Full reconstruction: 300–400 grafts per brow, £4,500–£6,500.

The artistry that matters

Eyebrow direction changes across the brow — hairs point upward at the head, angle toward the tail. A skilled surgeon places every graft in the correct direction; a poor one implants uniformly. Look at healed one-year results, not fresh work.

Trim, don't shape

Transplanted brow hair grows continuously and needs weekly trimming. Do not thread or wax it — treat it as trimmable rather than shapeable.

Eyebrows frame the face — a millimetre off, and the whole face looks different.

Frequently asked

Common questions

Is it permanent?+

Yes — transplanted grafts persist for life.

Can I dye transplanted brow hair?+

Yes — as you would any hair. Colour it to match if scalp-donor hair is darker than native brows.

How does it compare to microblading?+

Microblading fades in 12–18 months; transplant is permanent. Different budgets, different commitments.
